L'OISEAU PERDU | 2023 RUMORE NERO

Are you sure you’ve heard it ?
There is no way you saw it, impossible !
Perhaps some rustling of wings or is it the clouds in the peaks of the trees...?
Andrea Boscardin, naturalist photographer and feathers’s hunter, brings you in an imaginary world, opaque and falsely static. From the window of the mountain hut to the path’s summit, the eye struggles to make out the details, to describe the colors, to get his bearings on the map.
Like signs, leaves and feathers blend into this dream ends by the mist, where he only leaves traces of his visit. Is he lost ? Does he disapear ?
Throught this exhibition of photos, handcrafted books  and organic sculptures, the artist offers an invitation to dive into the mistery and thought, while looking carefully at this moving landscape in a sea of fog.

Abandon yourself before the night’s come.

The book concept has been developed in may 2023 in Tokyo during  the workshop “photobook as object” at the Reminders Photography Stronghold together with the curator Yumi Goto and the photographer Jan Rosseel.
Printed in Tokyo in March 2024 and published by Rumore Nero in a limited edition of 100 copies numbered and signed.
This totally handmade edition was made by the photographer in his studio between Paris and Liguria, in 2024.

"This special artist’s book was created by Andrea through the process of paper selection, printing, and binding in Japan.

It is a volume where the charm of production in Japan is condensed.

We invite you to enjoy Andrea Boscardin’s world through this precious artist’s book".
